Alongside the arable rotation, Maces Farms is committed to countryside stewardship schemes with areas of the farm designated for respective ecological and biodiversity incentives. This includes leaving areas of land as permanent pasture, creating field margins, growing wild bird mixes and where possible restoring hedgerows.
In addition, Maces Farms and the Quendon Estate continues to plant thousands of new trees as part of ongoing management of woodland around the Estate to maintain and enhance wooded areas.
