Located in the centre of Maces Farms, a 150kw roof-mounted solar photovoltaic array is installed on three-grain stores.
The electricity generated from the solar photovoltaic panels contributes towards the electricity demand required during harvest, powering grain fans and drying equipment, whilst also providing electricity for lighting when required throughout the year.
Surplus electricity is exported to the National Grid to be used elsewhere.
